To proceed with the demo, you will need the terrain which is included with Nellis AFB add-on, if you haven't it yet go
there and install both tarballs.
Then you will need davidB21's (David Bastien)scenario and the Abrams model. This tarball has to be expanded in $FG_ROOT/AI. It contains the scenario and the AI model of the "blastable" M1 tank. (CVS new particles updated 20080725)
To start it, just add --ai-scenario=Nellis_Bombing_Range to your command line.
Start from Creech AFB (Nevada), ICAO code: KINS, prepare a suitable load of GP bombs, take off and fly heading 21, 18.5 nautics, enjoy. You also can start from KLSV, if so, follow LSV TACAN (chan 012X) on course 313 during 39NM, and look at the big signs on ground. The tanks are in 3 big rows which heading is 240 deg.
You will need to have some clues about A-10 weapons system and dive bombing if you hope having a few hits... Gun is also a fun weapon for chasing tanks.
